AN ORDER TO PRAISE THE LORD!

Psalm 103:1 – Devotional

Psalm 103:1

Praise the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me praise His holy name.

I have loved Psalm 103 for many years. It seems to be an intimate glimpse of David in his private time of worship. Do you have a private time of worship? If not I highly recommend that you establish such a time.

In the hustle and bustle of our crazy world we can usually carve out time for things that really do not matter, while neglecting things that have eternal value. Personal praise and worship should be our highest priority!

There are many things that we devote ourselves to that are here today and gone tomorrow. Our praise and worship to our precious Lord and Savior will echo down through the ages of eternity. Praise to God lasts forever!

Start today with praise to the Lord. Stop what you are doing right now and lift your soul in praise. I have just done that myself and believe me when I tell you that that short time of praise still echoes in my soul. PRAISE THE LORD!

Blessings dear hearts! Walk with God today and be a blessing!

JUST THE RIGHT TIME! – Galatians 4:4-5 Devotional

JUST THE RIGHT TIME!

Galatians 4:4-5 – Devotional

Galatians 4:4-5

God has sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

“I want it and I want it right now!” Those words are often screamed out by a spoiled child who has not been properly trained. Well, let me be honest and admit that many adults exhibit that same behavior, if not in those exact words.

In my 88 years of life I have experienced disappointment when my requests were not met at the time I asked for them. But, the things that I thought I had to have at a particular time would have been to my detriment (or to others) if my timing was met. I have come to realize that God’s timing is always better than mine.

God knew when the time was right for His Son, Jesus, to be born. There were those who wanted it far sooner and others who still deny that Jesus is the promised Messiah of Israel who came, IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME!

God has all things under control. We need to submit to His loving care and allow His fullness of time to become our fullness of time as well. Even Jesus submitted to His Father’s will when He prayed, “… not My will but Thine be done” (Luke 22:42). God knows when it is; JUST THE RIGHT TIME!

May God richly bless you as you bless others by your words and actions!

GOD SEES AND HEARS! – Psalm 34:15 Devotional

GOD SEES AND HEARS!

Psalm 34:15 – Devotional

Psalm 34:15

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

If you ever feel that you are all alone and there is not a single soul that knows what you are experiencing, just keep today’s Scripture posted where you can assure yourself that God knows and cares about you.

Satan will always try his best to confuse, confound and condemn, but thank the Lord that we have a Savior who has been where we are and has overcome the enemy of our souls.

When you feel the crush of life, remember that God has loved you since the creation of the world and it is His desire that you receive His gift of eternal life. The God who created all things has given us the greatest gift that could ever be given.

Just remember that the gift has been freely offered, but it must be received and be opened to enjoy forever and forever. God sees us at the point of our greatest need and supplies freely from the storehouse of His grace and mercy!

Blessings dear hearts! God is with us today in order for us to be a blessing!

GOD IS WITH US! – Matthew 1:23 Devotional

GOD IS WITH US!

Matthew 1:23 – Devotional

Matthew 1:23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Sometimes it seems we are the only one standing firm for the Lord. All around us there is sin and debauchery. At times like these we are confronted with two choices. Either go with the flow and violate our sacred standards, or walk alone and risk being labeled a fanatic.

I have often found myself being the only spiritual “freak” in the midst of godless associates. It is during these moments when I most need the strength of the Lord. It is then that I relish the concept of Emmanuel. I am assured that regardless of the trial or test I face, I am never alone – – God is with me!

You may be facing a situation in your life that is causing you stress and anxiety. Remember that we are told to roll all of our cares upon Him for He cares for us. Not only does the Lord care for us, but He alone has the power to fight our battles for us.

As you go into the world this day, remember you are not alone. It may seem that you are out-numbered and over-powered, but be assured that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. With God with us – we win!

Blessings dear hearts! God is with us today so let us be a blessing!
