WAIT IN SILENCE!

Psalm 62:5 – Devotional

Psalm 62:5

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.”

In a world filled with noise and turmoil, it is sometimes difficult to find a place where we can shut out the noise and confusion in order to hear the Spirit of God speaking to us.

I have found across the years that it is hard to shut out the noise and confusion of the world in order to be able to hear the voice of the Lord. For me, it is the Word of God (the Bible) that is the voice of God. It is always on target and on time!

I find that special place at least two times each day. The first is very early in the morning (3:00 or 4:00 a.m.). The second is the last minutes of the day as I lay in bed reading from the Book of Psalms. What a way to begin and end each day!

If you want to find a special blessing in your life, I encourage you to make an effort to begin and end each day by waiting in silence with the Word of God open before you. It will bless you richly!

May God richly bless you as you bless others by your words and actions!
