Psalm 1:3

“He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.”

Planted by the Stream (inspired by Psalm 1)

Blessed is the one who does not walk
In counsel of the proud,
Does not stand where sinners stand,
Nor sit where mockers crowd.
Their joy is in the law of God,
His truth both day and night,
Meditating on His Word,
Delighting in His light.

[Pre-Chorus]
Rooted deep, not drifting wide,
Anchored by what’s true—

[Chorus]
They’re a tree beside the waters,
Planted by the stream,
Bearing fruit in every season,
Living out God’s dream.
Their leaf will never wither,
All they do endures—
Blessed is the one who walks with God,
Standing firm, secure.

[Verse 2]
The ungodly are not rooted so,
They’re chaff the wind will drive,
Scattered when the storm winds blow,
They cannot stand alive.
They won’t endure the judgment day,
Nor in the righteous stand,
Their path dissolves like drifting dust,
Unheld by God’s own hand.

[Chorus]
They’re a tree beside the waters,
Planted by the stream,
Bearing fruit in every season,
Living out God’s dream.
Their leaf will never wither,
All they do endures—
Blessed is the one who walks with God,
Standing firm, secure.

The Lord, He knows the righteous way,
He watches every step,
But paths that turn from truth and life
Are roads that won’t be kept.
One road leads on to life and peace,
One fades and falls apart—
Choose the way the Lord has shown,
And guard it in your heart.

Rooted in the Word of God,
More than hope or dream.
The Lord preserves the righteous path,
His truth forever sure—
