WHOEVER BELIEVES! – Music Devotional

WHOEVER BELIEVES!

Music Devotional

This Friday we have a special treat for you. Russ Hansen has created a new song entitled, “Whoever Believes.” He would appreciate your feedback at inspiration@thegoodbookcompany.com.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Whoever Believes (inspired by John 3:16-17)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born[a] Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him” (John 3:16-17)

[Verse 1]
God so loved the world He made,
Love beyond all measure shown.
Not a distant silent love,
But a gift from heaven’s throne.
He gave His one and only Son,
Sent to walk the earth below—
Love came down to rescue us,
More than we could ever know.

[Pre-Chorus]
A door is open wide today,
An invitation to believe.

[Chorus]
Whoever believes will live forever,
Grace is calling every heart.
From every nation, every people,
God’s great love is reaching far.
No more lost and no more broken,
Life is shining from above—
Whoever believes in Jesus
Will find eternal life in love.

[Verse 2]
He did not come to judge the world,
Not to bring a word of blame.
He came to save the lost and wandering,
Calling every soul by name.
Light has come into the darkness,
Hope for all who choose to see—
Love has made a way to heaven,
Through the cross at Calvary.

[Pre-Chorus]
A door is open wide today,
An invitation to believe.

[Chorus]
Whoever believes will live forever,
Grace is calling every heart.
From every nation, every people,
God’s great love is reaching far.
No more lost and no more broken,
Life is shining from above—
Whoever believes in Jesus
Will find eternal life in love.

[Bridge]
Two roads before the human soul,
One leads to life, one fades away.
But mercy calls through Christ alone—
Believe in Him today.

[Final Chorus]
Whoever believes will live forever,
Grace is calling every heart.
God so loved the world He gave us
Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Lift your eyes and see His mercy,
Heaven’s gift from up above—
Whoever believes in Jesus
Will live forever in His love.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Blessings dear hearts! May God richly bless you as you bless others by your words and actions!

CLEAN UP YOUR ACT! – Luke 19:45 Devotional

Hear Pastor Cecil's Evotional Read

CLEAN UP YOUR ACT!

Luke 19:45 – Devotional

Luke 19:45

“Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it.”

There have been a few times in my life when I was so dirty I looked like a dust ball. This was after spending hours on a mower or plow. It was a sheer delight to step into a shower and wash away the accumulated dirt and grime.

In the week of His crucifixion, Jesus exposed the sins of the leaders. The religious hierarchy had departed far from God’s demand for holiness. Jesus saw that they had violated the sanctity of the temple by allowing commercial enterprises to exist in a place they should have kept holy. They compromised in order to profit financially. They may have justified their actions by claiming that allowing peddlers in the temple was just to make it easy for the pilgrims to be able to sacrifice. Jesus was not deceived!

As I read today’s Scripture I am struck with the reality that anytime Jesus comes into our life, He wants to cleanse us. He will not tolerate our feeble excuses for allowing sin to contaminate us. He is the only One who can clean us completely.

How does Jesus go about cleansing the sin in our life? 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Is there sin in your life that needs to be cleansed? Read this verse and then obey it!

Blessings dear hearts. Draw near to God today, trust Him completely and be a blessing!

WHAT GOD DESIRES! – Hosea 6:6 Devotional

Hear Pastor Cecil read today's Evotional

WHAT GOD DESIRES!

Hosea 6:6 – Devotional

Hosea 6:6

“For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”

Across the ages of time, people have attempted to gain favor with God by their own efforts. We know that is impossible, but still it is the way most humans deal with times of crisis.

Few people (certainly those who have not been saved) place their eternal trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Most of us have heard the term; foxhole salvation. It implies a commitment made during a critical moment that subsequently was forgotten.

According to today’s Scripture, God desires for His children to have mercy rather than giving money, and knowing God from a study of His Word more than the monetary offerings we give.

To boil it all down to the most practical level – – God desires for His born-again children to be like Him in being merciful to those in need and increasing in the knowledge of Him by spending time in His Word. As you evaluate your personal relationship with the Lord, are you doing what God desires? Again comes the challenge: IF NOT, WHY NOT? DO WHAT GOD DESIRES!

May God richly bless you as you bless others by your words and actions!

WONDERFULLY MADE! – Psalm 139:14 Devotional

Hear Pastor Cecil read today's Evotional

WONDERFULLY MADE!

Psalm 139:14 – Devotional

Psalm 139:14

“I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

From time to time I notice that the makers of a particular product proudly boast that they are the makers of that product. In essence they are proclaiming that they stand behind what they are selling.

We also can rightly be certain that the words of God as found in our Holy Bible are true and righteous. Our precious Savior, Jesus Christ came into this lost world and shed His precious blood in order for us to be made in His image. Wow!

The certainty of our eternal salvation should propel us to go into this sin-sick world with the news that we can be WONDERFULLY MADE! Praise the Lord for that.

If you have never received Jesus as your personal Savior, just ask Him to come into your heart. Receive Him in childlike faith and then thank Him for giving you eternal life! As my daughter once said; “Say your prayer and I will see you in heaven!”

May God richly bless you as you bless others by your words and actions!
