OPEN MY EYES!
Psalm 119:18 – Devotional
Psalm 119:18
“Open my eyes that I might see wonderful things in Your law.“
We sometimes hear the admonition to keep our eyes open in order that we may see something worth observing. It reminds us that all too often we are prone to plod along without paying attention to what is around us.
Born again believers should be the most spiritually observant people in the world. We need to always be aware of the hand of the Lord around us. The Lord will frequently bring individuals into our life in order for us to minister His grace and love.
All too often we become so self absorbed that we miss opportunities to share the wonderful grace of God. We certainly are saved by grace and through our faith in the completed work of God, but we then need to work that grace out to a lost and needy world.
Our prayer should continually be for the Lord to allow us to see needs around us and seek His leading in how we can respond in the manner He would have us respond. Our prayer should always be for Him to open our eyes!
May God richly bless you as you bless others by your words and actions!
