{"id":7075,"date":"2019-08-24T06:00:35","date_gmt":"2019-08-24T13:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=7075"},"modified":"2019-08-24T16:40:41","modified_gmt":"2019-08-24T23:40:41","slug":"ascended-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/ascended-2\/","title":{"rendered":"ASCENDED!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Psalm 24:3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><em>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #c40000;\">\u201c<\/span><\/em><\/strong><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><strong><em>Who may ascend into the hill of the\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Lord<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>?\u00a0Or who may stand in His holy place?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yesterday I shared that it would have been the 66<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0wedding anniversary for my precious wife and me. Today, July 11, is another very special and poignant day for me.\u00a0 It was 27 years ago today that our daughter Brenda went to be with the Lord. She had struggled long and hard, but she finally was ready to be with the Lord.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One thing that Brenda requested, in fact insisted upon, was that her grave marker,\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0indicate the date of her death, but instead the date she\u00a0<strong>ascended<\/strong>. If you pass by her gravesite today you will see that the marker indicates she was born May 24, 1956 and\u00a0<strong>ascended<\/strong>\u00a0July 11, 1991.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I only wish more of us could live our life in such a way that we would look forward to ascending to be with the Lord. For the believer it is a reward that is waiting for us and a goal to be gained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are you looking forward to when your life here on earth ends? Will you ascend to be with the Lord or will you sink into the lowest abyss?
