{"id":6876,"date":"2019-05-01T06:00:56","date_gmt":"2019-05-01T13:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=6876"},"modified":"2019-05-02T08:12:01","modified_gmt":"2019-05-02T15:12:01","slug":"something-familiar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/something-familiar\/","title":{"rendered":"SOMETHING FAMILIAR!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>2 Timothy 3:16-17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>All Scripture\u00a0is\u00a0given by inspiration of God, and\u00a0is\u00a0profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seems as if we have been here before! The older I get the more things seem to repeat themselves. This is also true with particular verses of Scripture. We are all familiar with John 3:16, but it is interesting that many New Testament books have a significant 3:16.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please read today\u2019s Scripture and you will see what I am referring to. These two verses are extremely powerful. God\u2019s Word is the final authority. It is \u201cGod breathed\u201d and infallible.\u00a0\u00a0Also note that it is \u201call of God\u2019s Word\u201d that is spoken of here. From Genesis to Revelation, God presents our pattern for living for Him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We may not be able to understand everything that we read the first time, or even the 100<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0time, but if we remain faithful in our daily reading, more and more of it will become clear.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So what is the usefulness of God\u2019s Word?
