{"id":6695,"date":"2019-01-21T06:00:54","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T14:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=6695"},"modified":"2019-01-21T09:22:16","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T17:22:16","slug":"gods-kind-of-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/gods-kind-of-people\/","title":{"rendered":"GOD\u2019S KIND OF PEOPLE!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2 Peter 3:14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Peter has been speaking of the day of the Lord when the heaven and earth would be destroyed with fervent heat and a new heaven and a new earth would appear.\u00a0 In light of this prophecy of the destruction of things as we know them, he asks this question in verse 11;\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cWhat kind of people ought you to be?\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>That is a good question and one we need to ask in our world of conflict, pain and destruction. The future looks increasingly bleak. In light of this, what kind of people should we be?<\/p>\n<p>As I think about this question the word harmony comes to mind.\u00a0 As I consider the word harmony the word peace comes to mind. In a world where there is bickering, arguing, conflict, fights and war, we need peace and harmony.\u00a0 It is vital that in the midst of the stormy seas of life we can know peace and live in harmony with those around us. Even those people who sow turmoil and strife!
