{"id":6478,"date":"2018-09-12T06:00:48","date_gmt":"2018-09-12T13:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=6478"},"modified":"2018-09-12T09:57:28","modified_gmt":"2018-09-12T16:57:28","slug":"making-the-delivery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/making-the-delivery\/","title":{"rendered":"MAKING THE DELIVERY!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Psalm 84:12-13<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>O\u00a0<\/em><em>Lord<\/em><em>\u00a0of hosts,\u00a0blessed\u00a0is\u00a0the man who trusts in You!\u00a0<\/em><em>As they<\/em><em>\u00a0pass through the Valley of Tears, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In high school I worked part-time delivering milk door to door. We had an established route and each driver had detailed instructions on what each customer was to receive. No customer ever came to the door to thank me for coming into their lives to supply milk for them and their children.<\/p>\n<p>If such an event had occurred I could not take the credit. Yes, I had faithfully delivered the milk, but who was ultimately responsible for the delivery?\u00a0 I think it may be safe to conclude it was the person who hired me, trained me, and supplied me with the milk to deliver.\u00a0 There is really no place for pride\u2014I just delivered the milk as ordered.<\/p>\n<p>Christians must never take pride in being used by the Lord.\u00a0 We share the Gospel, offer a prayer of faith and then leave the results up to God.\u00a0Like delivering the milk, the One who sent us deserves the credit\u2014we just make the delivery.<\/p>\n<p>In today&#8217;s Scripture we are reminded that as we go through the valley of tears we have a delivery to make.\u00a0 Only God knows who is in that same valley waiting for the &#8220;milk&#8221; of God&#8217;s Word?
