\u201c<\/em>When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and\u00a0they took note that these men had been with Jesus<\/u>.<\/em>\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“Being<\/strong>,“<\/strong>\u00a0is what produces\u00a0“doing<\/strong>.“<\/strong>\u00a0 People can\u00a0“do”<\/strong>\u00a0things all day long, and it will have no effect.\u00a0 The reason is they have not\u00a0“become<\/strong>.“<\/strong>\u00a0 The ordinary men of the early New Testament Church were great because they had been with Jesus and, as a result, they were\u00a0becoming<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0more and more like Jesus.<\/p>\n

When skies are blue, no shades of gray; When words of praise, fall across our way; When birds sing sweet, and trees do sway; It is not hard to take our stand; To laugh, to smile, to kiss a hand.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

BUT!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

When clouds roll in, the going’s tough; When we’re the target, of the tempters stuff; When trees stand gaunt, their trunks so rough; When health gives way, and friends depart; When all our dreams, just fall apart;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

THEN!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

If we open wide, God’s Holy Book; We’ll find the way inside, because we look;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s hard and steep, the way Christ took.\u00a0 He calls us all to follow Him,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What’s done for Him will last; Our life will count, we’ll win the prize;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The secret is – – – we held Christ fast!\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
