{"id":615,"date":"2009-07-30T06:00:51","date_gmt":"2009-07-30T13:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/dailyevotional\/?p=615"},"modified":"2009-09-15T10:16:19","modified_gmt":"2009-09-15T17:16:19","slug":"%e2%80%9cdivine-inspiration%e2%80%9d","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/%e2%80%9cdivine-inspiration%e2%80%9d\/","title":{"rendered":"DIVINE INSPIRATION!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2\u00a0Timothy 3:16-17\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #c40000;\">\u201cAll Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p>I am so glad that we serve a God who is big and powerful enough to speak for Himself. He does this through the divinely inspired Bible. <span style=\"color: #c40000;\">&#8220;It is the power of God unto salvation to all who will believe&#8221;<\/span> (Romans 1:16).<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately there are far too many church groups who have the audacity to stand in opposition to God\u2019s Holy Word and change it to fit their own particular brand of sin. God\u2019s holiness is not open for debate. Sin is sin and His Word is true!<\/p>\n<p>It always bugs me when I hear so-called scholars make comments that a particular writer of Scripture was only expressing his own ideas. Pardon me, did they not read this passage in\u00a02 Timothy? It does not say that \u201csome Scripture\u201d is inspired (God-breathed), <span style=\"color: #c40000;\">\u201cALL Scripture\u201d<\/span> is inspired (God breathed).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What does <span style=\"color: #c40000;\">\u201cGod breathed\u201d<\/span> mean? It means that God speaks through the mind and intellect of those He has chosen to pen the words of our Bible. \u00a0The Bible is comprised of 66 Books written over a period of about 1,500 years by over 40 authors from all walks of life. These writers had different kinds of personalities, and were faced with all sorts of challenges.<\/p>\n<p>It was written in three languages on three continents, and it covers hundreds of controversial subjects. Yet, it fits together into one cohesive story with an appropriate beginning, a logical ending, a central character, and a consistent theme. \u00a0\u00a0Only a mighty God could breathe His divine inspiration into men and do that! What a mighty God we serve!<\/p>\n<p>Blessings dear hearts.
