{"id":6134,"date":"2018-02-19T06:00:16","date_gmt":"2018-02-19T14:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=6134"},"modified":"2018-02-19T12:17:08","modified_gmt":"2018-02-19T20:17:08","slug":"come-confidently","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/come-confidently\/","title":{"rendered":"COME CONFIDENTLY!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hebrews\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_2075095134\">4:16<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #c40000;\">\u201c<em>Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are at least two ways we may approach God\u2019s throne of grace &#8212;\u00a0<em>barely<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em>boldly<\/em>. Barely means we slink our way toward His throne expecting to be thrown out at any second. Boldly means we accept God\u2019s open invitation to come into His presence as His own dear child.<\/p>\n<p>When our oldest grandson, Zane, was quite small, he used to follow my dad around like a shadow.\u00a0 Zane and his great grandfather had a close relationship. From time to time, being a normal boy, something that he was playing with would break.\u00a0 Zane would never be upset.\u00a0 He would confidently exclaim, &#8220;Papa fitz it!&#8221;\u00a0 For those of you who have a hard time with kid talk, that means &#8220;Grandpa will fix it!&#8221;\u00a0 That should be our attitude toward the Lord.<\/p>\n<p>How then should we pray? With praise and assurance that God will use all situations to bring about His goodness and grace. We pray with anticipation, looking for the answers, paying attention to what is happening, and eager to give God the glory. Three things to remember when we go to the Lord in prayer:\u00a0 <strong>ATTITUDE! ATTITUDE! ATTITUDE!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blessings dear hearts.
