{"id":5738,"date":"2017-06-21T06:00:50","date_gmt":"2017-06-21T13:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=5738"},"modified":"2017-06-20T14:01:29","modified_gmt":"2017-06-20T21:01:29","slug":"under-the-circumstances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/under-the-circumstances\/","title":{"rendered":"UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>1 Corinthians 13:7<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Many times when people ask; \u201cHow are you doing?\u201d The response is; \u201cPretty good under the circumstances!\u201d Someone offered an addendum by asking; \u201cWhat are you doing under there?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each and every one of us will encounter circumstances in our life. These may be financial, physical, relational, or some other difficulty. The reality of life is that God never promises to take us away from the circumstances, but that He will be with us as we encounter the circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>I once was talking to a Pastor of Adult Ministries. He advised me never to ask folks in a retirement facility how they were doing. He said they would spend the next hour <em>telling<\/em> you how they were doing. When my mom was in such a facility I came to understand that we need to take time to <em>listen<\/em>, not just speak the words.<\/p>\n<p>There are people all around us who are being crushed by their circumstances. May God give us the ministry to reach out and touch them with the love of Jesus. We may well be the bright hope they need in their dark night of despair.<\/p>\n<p>Blessings dear hearts.
