{"id":5544,"date":"2017-02-27T06:00:03","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T13:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=5544"},"modified":"2017-02-27T08:13:34","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T15:13:34","slug":"it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/it\/","title":{"rendered":"IT!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hebrews 11:1-2 <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><em>\u201cNow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by <u>IT<\/u> the elders obtained a good testimony.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Throughout Scripture we find the tiny word <strong>IT<\/strong>. To better understand the meaning, I took the time to look <em>it<\/em> up in a dictionary: <em>U<\/em><em>sed<\/em><em> to represent an inanimate thing understood, previously mentioned, about to be mentioned, or present in the immediate context.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s Scripture the word <em>it<\/em> refers to <em>faith<\/em>. Faith is that attribute that steps forward on the basis of God\u2019s Word rather than relying on our own understanding. There are many things that we will not be able to fully understand as we travel through this life.<\/p>\n<p>We will experience fiery trials and tribulations from time to time, but <strong>IT<\/strong> will be able to hold us through. <strong>IT <\/strong>is that blessed assurance that Jesus knows what we need to see us through the difficult times by knowing that He is with us.<\/p>\n<p>I desire to spend more time thinking about how the Lord is my all sufficiency. It is not necessary for me to know everything about what is going on around me. I only need to have the <strong>IT<\/strong> of faith. Teach me, Lord!<\/p>\n<p>Blessings dear hearts.
