{"id":5412,"date":"2016-12-15T06:00:07","date_gmt":"2016-12-15T13:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devonline.us\/daily-e-votional\/?p=5412"},"modified":"2016-12-14T15:21:40","modified_gmt":"2016-12-14T22:21:40","slug":"green-grapes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyevotional.com\/prior2020\/green-grapes\/","title":{"rendered":"GREEN GRAPES!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Deuteronomy 23:24<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c40000;\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>When you come into your neighbor\u2019s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes at your pleasure, but you shall not put any in your container.<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When my boyhood friend and I invaded our neighbor\u2019s vineyard we had no idea we were acting according to Scripture. All we knew was that there were Concord grapes that were begging for us to eat them. The problem was that we often picked them before they were ripe and the green grapes made us sick.<\/p>\n<p>Many times in our life we run ahead of God and try to pick the \u201cgrapes\u201d before they are ripe. God\u2019s timing is always so much better than ours. He knows the heart of the individual.<\/p>\n<p>Last Sunday I spoke with a widow who was sobbing pitifully. She shared with me that someone had stolen flowers from her husband\u2019s grave and had also taken the grave marker. All I could do was listen to her and pray for her.<\/p>\n<p>God knows when the timing is right. We can watch carefully as the season progresses and the fruit is ripe. Then we need to be ready to glean in the Lord\u2019s vineyard. He will bring the increase.<\/p>\n<p>Blessings dear hearts.
