Psalm 99:9<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes we never get the credit we think we deserve. I am so glad we don\u2019t. If we did we would be prone to take pride in our accomplishments. Many of God\u2019s most faithful servants labored in complete anonymity.<\/p>\n

Such was the case with the composer of this week\u2019s hymn. Reginald Heber was born at Malpas, Cheshire, England, April 21, 1783, to a heritage of wealth and culture. By the age of five, he had read the Bible so thoroughly that he could give chapter and verse for chance quotations.<\/p>\n

He composed many hymns, but served his entire life without seeing them published. It was only after his death that as many as 57 of his hymns were recognized. It was to the Lord that he dedicated his works. Such is the case with this week\u2019s hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy!<\/em><\/p>\n

Holy, Holy, Holy!<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
\nEarly in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
\nHoly, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
\nGod in three persons, blessed Trinity!<\/em><\/p>\n

Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore Thee,
\nCasting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
\nCherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
\nWho wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.<\/em><\/p>\n

Holy, holy, holy! tho\u2019 the darkness hide Thee
\nTho\u2019 the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
\nOnly Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee,
\nPerfect in pow\u2019r, in love, and purity.<\/em><\/p>\n

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
\nAll Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth and sky, and sea;
\nHoly, holy, holy; merciful and mighty!
