Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I recall being in a small fishing boat traveling along the rugged shoreline off the northern coast of Newfoundland, Canada. It was a beautiful day, but I want to tell you that I was glad that the boat was being piloted by a fisherman who knew how to keep us from danger.<\/p>\n<p>He knew how to direct the boat into the waves in such a way that kept us from being swamped. Nevertheless I was relieved when he directed the boat into the sheltered harbor of the small village where we were headed.<\/p>\n<p>I recently thought of this trip as I read today\u2019s passage. As I did so, I was reminded of an old hymn, \u201cJesus, Savior, Pilot Me.\u201d Here are two verses:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>\u201cJesus, Savior, pilot me, Over life\u2019s tempestuous sea; <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Unknown waves before me roll, Hiding rock and treacherous shoal. <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Chart and compass come from Thee;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Jesus, Savior, pilot me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhen at last I near the shore, And the fearful breakers roar, <\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2019Twixt me and the peaceful rest, Then, while leaning on Thy breast, <\/em><br \/>\n<em>May I hear Thee say to me,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2018Fear not, I will pilot thee.\u2019 \u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The words express my prayer to the Lord. I want Him to be my pilot through the seas of life that stretch out before me.<\/p>\n<p>Blessings dear hearts.
