I love to hear of a call to a much smaller congregation with a meager stipend.

I thought of this yesterday when one of our members was asked about her new job. This woman had formerly been employed in a prestigious position at a well-known company. When the company closed its local operation, she was out of a job. But after caring for family members for over a year, it was time to look for work.

Executive positions were not available, but a night job at the local Walmart store was. Now the former “executive” runs the floor cleaner that warns customers with a little beep-beep! When asked how she liked her new job, this lady just beamed—she loves it and her face showed it!

It is not the dignity of the job that matters, but the dignity of the person doing the job. I always want to have that same thrill that we saw in her countenance as she told us about driving the machine around the store. Well done, Girl!

Blessings dear hearts. Draw near to God today, trust Him completely and be a blessing!

– – – Pastor Cecil

360-570-0074
PastorCecil@Daily-E-Votional.com

P.S. – You can find previous E-Votionals covering a variety of Scriptures and topics to help you in your walk with the Lord at www.Daily-E-Votional.com.

P.P.S. – I have completed my first book, 100 of Pastor Cecil’s Select Illustrations. The cost is $12.95 plus shipping.
