LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY! – John 10:10 Devotional

LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY!

John 10:10 – Devotional

John 10:10

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

This week we have a special new song for you created by Russ Hansen entitled, “Life More Abundantly.” He’d appreciate your feedback on this song–please send it to him at inspiration@thegoodbookcompany.com.

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts” (Colossians 3:16, emphasis added) and “Sing a new song to the Lord!” (Psalm 96:1).

Life More Abundantly (inspired by John 10:10)

[Verse 1]
The thief comes in the dark of night,
Trying to steal away the light.
Whispers lies into my soul,
Promises that leave me cold.
Chains of fear and broken dreams,
Empty roads and fading schemes—
But Your voice calls out to me,
And Your truth has set me free.

[Pre-Chorus]
Where darkness tried to take my hope,
Your love has overcome.

[Chorus]
You came to give me life abundantly,
Joy that flows like endless seas.
Grace that lifts my heart to singing,
Freedom shining over me.
The thief may try to steal the day,
But Your light will always stay—
You came to give me life,
Life more abundantly.

[Verse 2]
Where the thief once planted fear,
Now Your living truth is here.
Every chain has lost its hold,
Every shadow lost control.
Hope is rising in my soul,
Your mercy making broken whole.
Every step I walk with You
Brings a life forever new.

[Pre-Chorus]
Where darkness tried to take my hope,
Your love has overcome.

[Chorus]
You came to give me life abundantly,
Joy that flows like endless seas.
Grace that lifts my heart to singing,
Freedom shining over me.
The thief may try to steal the day,
But Your light will always stay—
You came to give me life,
Life more abundantly.

[Bridge]
No power of night can steal my song,
No shadow can hold me long.
Your victory is my liberty,
Your life is alive in me.

[Final Chorus]
You came to give me life abundantly,
Hope that lasts eternally.
Love that fills my heart forever,
Light that shines for all to see.
The thief may try to steal the day,
But Your truth will always stay—
You came to give me life,
Life more abundantly.
